We begin with a review of the overall construction program. From there, assistance may include: a review of all program contracts, procurement, constructability, schedule viability, construction progress, change order assessment, contractor negotiations, quality control, and budgetary projections.

For clients already involved in a construction project, the Project Development team can be called in to monitor progress during specific project phases or to evaluate situations by offering expertise with such functions as change order analysis and extra cost considerations.

For clients who are facing construction claims or contemplating filing them, we offer claims preparation and defense services to assist with the development of settlement and resolution strategies.

For clients who want to avoid disputes we also offer a unique service that is put in place at the beginning of a project called Standing Neutral.

Standing Neutral – is a relatively new method for project monitoring that optimizes the interests of all parties involved in the construction project. Project Development serves as a standing neutral third party observer whose time and expertise is paid for by all involved parties. The standing neutral’s primary role is to act immediately to conclude any disputes that the parties to the contract cannot resolve themselves.

In brief, standing neutral can help by facilitating communication, clarifying disputed issues, assisting in equitable dispute settlement and ensuring appropriate negotiation and use of alternative dispute resolution methods.
